BELIEFS

     Our beliefs are based on the Bible.  The Old and New Testament that has been preserved in a miraculous way and handed down in a completely reliable composition from the earliest followers of Jesus until now.  We believe the Bible should be applied to every aspect of how we exist as a community of believers.  And we believe the Bible is the standard by which all claims of faith, morality, and lifestyle should be measured.  We have sought to formulate the guiding principles of our church based on what the Bible says. 
     We associate with the Southern Baptist Convention and embrace the Baptist Faith and Message as a clear statement of our basic beliefs.  You can read it here: Baptist Faith and Message

     The church is a devinely gathered community with a structure managed by humans.  We have developed some guidelines for this "human" side of the equation that we call our "community constitution". You can view it by clicking on this link: Westside Community Constitution

     For an in depth look at the beliefs of Westside you are invited to participate in Discover Westside.  It is a class offered once per quarter that examines the basic beliefs and expectations that membership at Westside nurtures.
